I just received my sample kit from 48HourPrint.com. It is quite neat, to say the least. It came with an enormous selection of products and papers, neatly tucked into a cool pocket folder. This sample kit is free, click the link at the bottom of the post to get your own.

Contents

  • Pocket Folder
  • Envelope full of digital printing
  • Envelope full of plastic printing
This wasn't a legit order, so I'll skip straight to quality.

 Quality

Overall, the quality is fantastic. There's a reason they call it "award winning printing that will make you smile".

Paper Thickness

The papers vary immensely in thickness and feel, so I'll just put a list of my favorites:
  1. 14pt C2S Cover Stock
  2. 70# Opaque Text
  3. 100# Text

Summary

48hourprint.com is an awesome service. They have fun samples and seem to be a fun company.

Product Review: VistaPrint Pens

Around the time I ordered the tee shirts, I ordered some pens. The design doesn't look like it's printed directly on the pens, but that it is on a sticker wrapped around the pen. The printing is a bit shabby, too. There is all kinds of "fuzz" around the text, and the whole pen seems a bit speckled. From afar, it looks like a fancy pen, but when you pick it up, you learn it is just shiny plastic. They do write well, though. They were packed in a bag of 10, each costing around $2.00. This isn't bad for pens, but it is classic VistaPrint (cheap and inexpensive). That said, the design holds up pretty well. I've tried to scratch it off, and nothing happened. The clips can turn, so they can be moved out of the front of your design.

Product Review: Vistaprint Tee Shirt

A while back, I ordered some plain white tee shirts from Vistaprint. They were a pretty good value (around $8 each), but they are classic VistaPrint products. The design looks a bit faded, and the black isn't quite black, more of a speckled dark grey. However, they do look fantastic from a distance. They wrinkle, but just keep them hung up. They are packaged in a plastic bag, so they stay clean during shipping. Overall, this was a good deal that turned out to be both cheap and inexpensive.
I do have something great to say about their customer service, though. I complained about the quality, and they sent my order again, and they rushed it. That's about $30 worth of free stuff!

Product Review: VistaPrint Premium Business Cards

I ordered 250 Premium Business Cards (for $10) from Vistaprint the other day. Overall, I was not that impressed. The paper weight was good, but the rest was a bit, well, meh.
