I just received my sample kit from PFL (Printing For Less). It is quite neat, to say the least. It came with an enormous selection of products and papers, neatly tucked into a cool pocket folder. This sample kit is free, click the link at the bottom of the post to get your own.
Contents
- Pocket Folder
- 2 Postcards
- 1 Greeting Card
- 8 Handy Print Guides
- 3 Brochures
- 2 Envelopes
- Rack Card
- Folded Park Map
- Door Hanger
- 8 Business Card Types
- 1 Hang Tag
Quality
Overall, the quality is pretty great. Here's a business card at 600 dpi:As you can see, the quality is great. The dots match up just where they should, and all is well, especially considering the scan is about 6 times larger than real life.
Paper Thickness
The papers vary immensely in thickness and feel, so I'll just put a list of my favorites:- 70# Accent
- 80# Dull Matte Cover
- 8pt SmartFlex
- 120# Gloss Coating
Summary
PFL has some very nice prints, and the prices seem fair-ish, but shipping charges look quite large. If you're looking for some AMAZING prints and don't mind paying a bit more than you think you should, give PFL a try. You won't be disappointed. They have a huge selection of products, so you're sure to find what you're looking for.Links
